what are enhancers

enhancers are basically a clear wall with a picture or affect on them that you stand behind or in front of to enhance you snapshot to make it seem as if it was "photoshopped" they can be very simple or very complex each one can be used in several ways the only limit is your creativity

the difference between good and great

learning your client

ok...here we go
you SHOULD recognize the buttons in the picture they are in your 3-D room on IMVU here is a brief explanation of each

A. this is your show tool button...you use it to see the rest of the buttons

B. birds eye view button.....moves your camera above ya looking down....you can take some very cool shots that way....we will play with it later

C. this is perhaps the most used button of them all....the move stuff button...when you add an item to your room you turn this on and click the little yellow node and move it where ya want it.....if you hold the shift button in this mode you can move the item up and down and holding the ctrl button allows you to move it from side to side to find tune your placement....don't forget the side to side movement changes directions if and moves it left to right from what ever angle you are looking at it from.......so you can get it where ever you want it.....way cool

D. this is your twisty button it allows you to turn you item around so it faces any way you wish holding the shift button allows you to bring the top of the item down so the item can lay flat or at an angle the ctrl button turn is like a wheel  very handy

E. this is you resize button makes your item big or small.......you will use this a lot remember that the bigger an item the clearer the picture

F. this is your reset button.....for when you have twisted and turned and resized the hell out of your item and decide you don't like it and want to start over.....use this and BOOM it goes back to its default size and place

G. the zapper......makes your item disappear

H. bunny cloner.....makes more of your item so you don't  have to get it from your inventory more than once

I. info button......for well.....info

fun with basics

basic enhancers

your very basic enhancers easy to use ya stand in font of them or behind them and take your picture.....nice and easy....here are some examples of how to use them.....pretty cool huh.......i am standing in your basic bionic white room ......now lets play with the affects a bit see what we can do with basic enhancers

basic resize

ok...the easiest thing is basic re-sizeing...take your enchanter and move it where ya want it make it big or small.....fine tune the placement with the shift and ctrl key ...strike a pose and call it good

basic stacking (1)

ok this shot was a bit tricky....this is basic stacking with 1 style enhancer....this is where the bunny cloner comes into play....clone a bunch of your enhancer......move them into place for this shot i used the twisty tool and turned some of them around i also resized a few.......stand in the middle strike a pose and ya got a scene from everyones favorite Hitchcock movie

basic stacking (2)

ok again we are stacking basics.....but for this one i mixed it up a bit......i have 3 basic enhancers in this shot...i am standing behind 2 and in front of one a bit of re-sizeing fine tuning the placing and boom there ya go..the sky is the limit

basics in full force

now that we know how to use basics...i am showing ya what they can do add some props  a background....use your imagination there is noting you cant do ....and remember none of the pictures you see have been altered or "fixed" in any way......have fun

basic trouble

ok the main issue you are going to run into with enhancers is "blending conflict" or as know to the rest of the world "disappearing junk" the main things you will have problems with are hair, dresses/skirts, and accessories namely necklaces.....the pictures here show the same outfit....in both pictures you will notice that in the first one the necklace is not visible......don't panic it  is still there ya just cant see it .....the easiest way to deal with his problem is to change you angle slightly....as shown. you can also try moving your enhancer slightly that will often take care of the issue if you really need the angle that is giving you problems.....assuming you are using a standing spot you put into the room yourself you can move the spot slightly or even tipping it with the twisty tool and the shift button...the main thing is not to freak when a large chunk of hair disappears and leaves your poor avi looking like a mutant

ambient rooms

for the next batch of enhancers we will be using rooms with ambient lighting....one of my dear friends Rhiannanne has 16 ambient rooms and counting. an ambient room is a simple "white" room that has colored lighting pouring into it...these are fantastic for picture taking....all the pictures here have the exact same outfit/skin/hair everything...but you can see how the lighting changes everything i cant recommend these enough

ambi adapters

the final point we will talk about is ambi adapters theses are very much like basics but they are designed to use the ambient light in the room to enhance the enhancer these are easy to use hard to master......because the ambient lighting in the rooms are full of different intensity colored light and shadow you can spend a huge amount of time moving your ambi adapter around and always get a different affect......i will admit i have not spent much time playing with these....so i am a beginner in ambi adapters........but from what i have seen they are truly amazing and a lot of fun to work with
